Mutiara Laut

Mutiara Laut

Details

47m / 7 cabins / 14 guests / 13 crew

Mutiara Laut (meaning “Pearl of the Sea”) is a double-mast yacht that was carefully constructed to reflect an 18th century North Atlantic schooner with a hint of Indonesian influence that speaks of her staple sailing destinations.

Mutiara Laut’s owner constructed his ship in Kalimantan following a life as a captain that saw him travel the world six times over. The result is an impeccably engineered charter vessel with three spacious decks, well-built to explore the world’s largest archipelago in comfort and authentic style.

Mutiara Laut is a great option for families or groups of up to 14 guests looking to sail in comfort with expert attention. Her crew of 13 includes a cruise director, an Indonesian captain, a chef and a dive guide.

Onboard Experience

Mutiara Laut features seven en-suite guest cabins. A master suite is situated on the main deck with a king-size bed, writing desk, walk-in wardrobe and windows letting in plentiful natural light. Of the remaining six deluxe guest cabins, four doubles each feature a settee that can be converted into a single bed, and two twin berth cabins can be converted into doubles, all leading to en-suite bathrooms with showers and vanity units.

Inside, an air-conditioned 36sqm saloon, library and lounge area is dressed in neutral tones touched with traditional textiles in warm colours and features a TV. An intimate dining room seats up to 14 guests at a finely carved wooden table, with windows looking out over the passing scenery. Throughout, the décor is accentuated with handcrafted wooden items and intricate pillars, art and curiosities picked up from years spent exploring the idyllic islands of Indonesia.

Outside, Mutiara Laut’s old-world charm, merging European and Asian craftsmanship, extends to a 60sqm open deck designed for leisure with daybeds, an external dining and BBQ area.

Facilities include a large kitchen where the chefs create a fusion of Indonesian and Western cuisine with culinary influences from the likes of Singapore and Thailand. Onboard equipment includes diving and snorkelling gear, as well as water skis and kayaks.

What We Love

Mutiara Laut’s old-world design feels very nautical, and the enormous deck makes for a wonderful place to socialise and soak up the sunshine.

With a wealth of dive-focused trips under her belt, Mutiara Laut is very well equipped for divers looking to explore remote island chains.
