Mahodaya (formerly Amanikan) was Aman Resorts’ first foray into yachting in Indonesia, a custom-built coastal cruiser. Combining the essence of historical cruisers with modern comforts, Mahodaya (formerly Amanikan) embraces Aman Resorts’ renowned extraordinary service.
Mahodaya was built initially to charter in combination with Amanwana, a luxurious tented camp on the private island of Moyo.
Mahodaya is the perfect option for both Amanjunkies and discerning travellers seeking the journey of a lifetime in Indonesia, and her crew of 10 includes a private chef, a cruise director and a dive guide.
Mahodaya offers three luxurious cabins above deck decorated in beautifully neutral cream, caramel and fawn tones with antique brass fixtures, all with their own terraces.
The expansive master cabin boasts a king-size bed, situated at the stern of the upper deck, and panoramic 270-degree views from wraparound windows, as well as a large private sundeck.
The 2 additional cabins (one double and one twin) have vaulted ceilings and feature sustainable furnishings, one with a private balcony and the other with a semi-private sundeck in front of the wheelhouse. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms with double vanities, showers and separate toilets.
Mahodaya has a foredeck with an outdoor dining and bar area, as well as a lounge with an open-air cinema area. The experienced staff caters to guests’ individual needs, and the chef serves up a combination of international and Asian cuisine.
Mahodaya has a wealth of experience in Indonesian waters and comfortably blends old-world local heritage with the comforts one would expect from an Aman hotel.
Aman’s continuity of service is tangible onboard, and guests are looked after with the utmost care.

“As our first private charter experience, we were surprised by just how busy we could be! Amazing diving aside, we went trekking, kayaking and spent plenty of time on the beach. Special thanks to the wonderful crew who became family by the end of the week.”
